Just discovered it at a farmers market last Saturday. It is THEE BEST coffee I have ever had. I have acid reflux; this did not affect me. It\'s smooth. Rich. Incredible!!!

I stopped last weekend, enjoyed a freshly made cup of delicious coffee and some good conversation! (View from my spot in the cornerβΊοΈ)

This is a very cute establishment! I was welcomed by co-owner, Jack, who was very friendly and explained the farm and business origins. The coffee was delightful and the the pro bono cup was a nice touch! I would definitely come back here with a friend to just sit and chat for a little bit.

Stopped in the shop in Cedarburg on a whim, & loved both the coffee and the conversation. Medium-Dark roast, smooth, low acidity. One of the best coffees I\'ve ever tasted. Highly recommend stopping by. They also sell online & visit several farmers markets (in Lake Geneva on Friday\'s in July 2026!).

Read on Facebook βΊHoffskeller in Norse means Farm Cellar and thats exactly where your at. Interesting place... coffee store with perculator of fresh brewed coffee. Help yourself to a free cup. We left a donation and headed outside to sit and chat. Cute farmhouse decor and outside seating. Max shared that they started by selling their coffee at farmers markets and also online. Then opened this space in early 2025 so people could get their coffee year-round. I purchased a jar and brewed it up at home. Delish!

Thank you, Jack and Janine, for coming to the Williams Bay Farmers Market and teaching me about your craft! I brought a taste of 17th-century Europe into my kitchen today. ββ¨ This slow, classic roast from Der Hoffskeller brewed at 190Β° makes for the ultimate smooth morning cup. Exceptional quality!

Stopped by this morning with my husband for a nice little coffee date. The ambiance was relaxing and the coffee was fantastic. Got to meet Dave who was such an awesome dude and very informative. Recommend this hidden gem for anyone in the area! Oh, and the coffee was delicious!

Read on Facebook βΊI stopped by this wonderful coffee shop earlier today because I happened to be in the area. Had two cups of amazing coffee and a wonderful conversation with Max. If time permitted, I would have stayed longer to spend some time reading. Absolutely loved the rustic decor, and the focus on good coffee. I can imagine how fun it will be to sit outside on a nice summer day. I canβt wait to try the ground coffee I picked up from here.

We live in the area and stopped in the coffee barn after hearing about Der Hoffskeller. Coffee was delicious, and we loved the vibe of the barn and warmth of the fireplace on a chilly morning. My wife usually doesnβt drink her coffee black, but said it was delicious just black. It was also interesting to learn about the history of the farm and how Der Hoffskeller was started.

Just got my coffee from them at Milwaukee VA farmers market. Thank you for showing up. Luv this coffee. I will bring my jars back to recycle. Making a trip to the farm.
Read on Facebook βΊDelicious coffee in a cozy farm vibe. This is a place where they roast and sell their own coffee beans, and the main purpose is selling the beans. They offer jars for sale and they also ship them. I met a friend here for coffee and we were greeted by one of the owners and offered a wonderful cup of coffee. For free! It was kind of a shock to be honest. But we gladly took them up on the offer. It was delicious coffee and we were able to sit in some comfortable chairs before a fireplace and catch up, and the coffee was so delicious. We did buy some to take home. I would definitely recommend that people stop by here and I canβt wait to see how nice it will be in the summer when there are some tables outside as well as inside. It should be noted that this is not a place that offers food. It is just the coffee. So if you need a snack, I think you should bring something.
Read on Google βΊWarm weather got us out of Burlington for a little shopping and sightseeing after Valentine\'s Day. Stopped in the rustic barn at Der Hoffskeller to try some coffee. Bought some beans to take home. I drink my coffee black. My personal favorite bean is Ethiopian for its almost sweet, smooth flavor. I like light roasts for their lack of bitterness compared to dark roasts. What did I think? First, it\'s a cute space here, and it will be exciting to visit here in the country as things develop. I enjoyed the coffee there. Ground some at home and ran it through my Coulee coffee maker. I prefer my coffee tasting bold, and this followed very well in my wheel house. It is not bitter. It has a really nice after taste that I enjoy, but it is a little different. It\'s not \"smokey\" or \"woody\" tasting, it\'s not chocolate like. Just good, hardy coffee flavor!

Love this place. Not sure where else you can get a free cup of coffee 7 days a week! The coffee is so smooth and delicious.

Read on Facebook βΊWe happened to come across their website and decided to swing by. SO glad we did. The barn is beautiful, the atmosphere is so cozy, and the coffee is PHENOMENAL. Der Hoffskeller is run by two brothers who happened to be at farmerβs market (Menomonee Falls and Whitefish Bay) when we visited so their dad was running the shop and he is also delightful! Thereβs games, books, a fireplace, and a TVβ¦come have a FREE cup of coffee, relax, and buy a jar of coffee beans (or grounds).

What a neat place! Very friendly, welcoming, and comfortable! The repurposed barn basement makes you feel like you\'re visiting an old friend. And the complimentary coffee tasting really promotes their product... delicious with no bitter aftertaste. We\'ll definitely be coming back.

What a find!

Der Hoffskeller is a hidden gem! If you love coffee this place is amazing! Cute little barn made into a coffee house with games books video games sports on tv and very friendly service! A great place for an excellent cup of coffee and good conversation. There are not many places where you can drink a black cup of coffee and have it taste great.

Such a creative & relaxed atmosphere in an old barn that was renovated inside to be a little coffee shop. They only serve black coffee with sugar and creamer but the coffee was AMAZING and I left with a pint of it. Only thing was that they were roasting beans inside the sitting area so it was smokey which would be bad for sensitive people. Overall, very good coffee and family owned.

This Is Your New Hygge Spot β If cozy contentment had an address, it would be Der Hoffskeller. We stopped in for coffee and found something far more specialβa beautifully simple, soul-warming experience tucked into the basement of a quintessential Wisconsin red barn. The business model alone is refreshing: a free cup of excellent coffee offered in a cosy space that invites you to slow down, linger, and connect. No rush. No pressure. Just warmth. True to its Norwegian and German roots, Der Hoffskeller feels intentional and grounded. There are multiple inviting seating areas, board games waiting to be played, books to flip through, and layers of memorabilia that reward curiosity. Every corner feels lived-in and loved. You know that feelingβthe quiet joy that comes from good coffee, meaningful conversation, and being exactly where youβre supposed to be in that moment? That deep, hygge sense of well-being from simple pleasures? This is the place for that. Der Hoffskeller isnβt just somewhere you grab coffee. Itβs somewhere you experience it. Wishing the brothers behind this vision continued success. What theyβve built is something genuinely specialβand very much worth the stop.

Shipped so fast to our FL vacation place, after we learned about der Hoffskeller! Enjoying it every morning, and afternoon coffee break! Smooth, mellow, non-acidic perfect medium roast! It was such a fresh flavor for us daily coffee drinkers of the standard brands. And what these folks did with their Sherman Road site transformation, you just gotta see it to add even another layer of delight to this perfectly roasted coffee!

Visiting from out of town. We appreciate the large sample of coffee. The atmosphere is unique and kid friendly with a hammering block, genius!
