Golf Tournament Gifts Players Will Actually Use: Coffee Tee Gifts Under $20 and Under $50, Plus Prizes
The best golf tournament gifts are ones players use after the round. Fresh coffee fits every budget: a half-pound Little Hoff at $15 (under $20), The Hoff, a full pound, at $25, and a half-gallon Mason jar of coffee at $35 (under $50). A 7 lb King Hoff makes a top prize. For more than 60 gifts, call 414-375-5804 or use the contact page.
We are Der Hoffskeller, a family roaster in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. We roast one coffee in cast iron on our family farm, in a barn that has been in the family since 1944. This guide is for outing committees, club pros and member-guest chairs who need 48 to 288 of the same gift on a per-player budget.
Why a consumable beats another sleeve of tees
Most tee gift lists stick to balls, tees, towels, hats and gadgets, and most golfers already own a drawer full of them. Coffee gets opened at home the next morning, and every cup after that is a small reminder of your event and your sponsors.
It also scales to any entry fee. GolfStatus, a tournament software company, advises keeping gifts "commensurate with your registration prices." A $15 half pound suits a charity scramble; a $35 jar suits a member-guest or a corporate outing.
Players get one coffee: 100% Colombian Supremo Arabica, roasted medium-dark in what we call the German Norwegian style, in cast iron on our farm. Customers describe it as smooth and low in acid, and rate us 4.95 out of 5 across 263 customer reviews. Two of them:
“Family business with friendly atmosphere and fair prices.”

“Best deal on quality coffee on the Internet.”

Coffee tee gifts by budget
| Budget | Gift | Price | Cups (our estimate) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under $20 | Little Hoff, 1/2 lb bag: ground or whole bean | $15 | about 17 |
| $25 | The Hoff, 1 lb bag: ground or whole bean | $25 | about 35 |
| Under $50 | Big Hoff Bag, 2 lb: ground or whole bean | $34 | about 70 |
| Under $50 | Big Hoff, half-gallon Mason jar: ground or whole bean | $42 ground, $35 whole bean | about 66 ground, about 54 whole bean |
| Prize | Queen Hoff, 3.5 lb: ground or whole bean | $60 | about 120 |
| Top prize | King Hoff, 7 lb: ground or whole bean | $105 | about 245 |
Cup counts are our estimates at standard strength: about 35 eight-ounce cups per pound, the Specialty Coffee Association's Golden Cup ratio of 55 grams of coffee per liter of water. The jar holds about 1.9 lb of ground or a little over 1.5 lb of whole bean. More on the math in how many cups of coffee are in a pound.
The jar is the one that looks like a gift the moment it comes out of the box. It needs no wrapping, and the glass jar keeps going after the coffee is gone.
What it costs for your whole field
These totals are the one-time price times the head count; the Little Hoff, The Hoff and the jars have no quantity discount. Every one ships free.
| Players | Little Hoff ($15) | The Hoff ($25) | Jar, whole bean ($35) | Jar, ground ($42) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 48 | $720 | $1,200 | $1,680 | $2,016 |
| 72 | $1,080 | $1,800 | $2,520 | $3,024 |
| 144 | $2,160 | $3,600 | $5,040 | $6,048 |
| 288 | $4,320 | $7,200 | $10,080 | $12,096 |
Among the tee gifts, the 2 lb Big Hoff Bag is the one with a quantity discount built in: in one order, the first bag is $34 and each extra bag of the same grind is $4 off, so 48 bags of one grind come to $1,444, about $30 a player.
A full shotgun is 144 players, two groups on each of 18 tees, and a double shotgun is 288. Online orders stop at 60 items, so for more than 60 gifts, call 414-375-5804 or use the contact page.
Golf tournament prizes and raffle baskets
- Low gross or the winning team: a King Hoff (7 lb, $105) for each player. In one order, each extra King of the same grind is $10 off, so four come to $390, and they ship free.
- Closest to the pin and longest drive: a Queen Hoff (3.5 lb, $60), about 120 cups by our estimate. It ships free on its own.
- Raffle baskets: a whole bean Big Hoff jar ($35) plus a Little Hoff ($15): $50 for about 2 pounds of coffee, shipped free. Add a sleeve of balls and a towel and the basket is done.
Member-guests, club championships and holiday gifts
A member-guest is the club's own weekend, so the tee gift can step up: a Big Hoff jar for every guest reads as a thank-you from the club, not a sponsor giveaway. For club championships, a Queen or King Hoff for each flight winner beats another plaque.
Golf season in Wisconsin runs roughly April to October, but the club year keeps going: The Hoff or a Little Hoff makes an easy holiday gift for members and staff. See our Christmas coffee gift guide for order dates.
On the pro shop shelf
A pro shop can sell our coffee too. Any business may buy, serve and resell it with no account, no application and no approval. Order, and stock the shelf when the box arrives. Golf shops selling coffee is not new: PGA Magazine's June 2026 issue featured a Texas club that sells its own house-roasted coffee beans in the golf shop.
Everyone pays the same public price, and your shop sets its own shelf price. There is no retailer price and no coupon. To restock on a schedule, every bag size comes weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly at the lower subscription price, with a two-delivery minimum; you manage deliveries online through a secure emailed link. Jars are one-time orders only. Every size and schedule is on our page to stock the pro shop with no account.
How to order gifts for a full field
- Count gifts, not just players. Add a few for volunteers, sponsors and late sign-ups.
- Up to 60 items, order online. Pick the size and grind, choose One-time order, and check out as a guest with your email and shipping address. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. The confirmation email lists what you ordered and the total.
- More than 60, get in touch. Online orders are limited to 60 items, so call 414-375-5804 or use the contact page with your count, sizes and event date.
- Ship it to the course. We ship by USPS to US addresses. There is no company field, so type the course or club name with your name or on the Apt, suite line, and tell the pro shop a box is coming.
- Order early. Orders typically go out within a few business days, and shipping times are estimates, not guarantees. Leave a cushion of a couple of weeks before the event, more for a full field.
Want a note in the box for the pro shop or the event chair? Email info@hoffskeller.com with your order number and the note right after you order, before it ships. Near Cedarburg? Checkout has no pickup option, but the barn at 1040 Sherman Road is open every day from 9 to 5; for a larger pickup, contact us first.
Whole bean or ground?
For most players, choose ground. It comes in one medium-fine grind that works for every brew method, espresso included, so it suits whatever coffee maker is on each player's counter. Whole bean is for players who grind their own. Know a few coffee people in the field? Order most gifts ground and a handful whole bean. More in whole bean vs. ground.
Golf Tournament Gift Questions
What is a good golf tournament tee gift under $20?
A Little Hoff: a half pound of fresh coffee for $15, whole bean or ground, about 17 eight-ounce cups by our estimate at standard strength. For a field of 48 it comes to $720, shipped free.
How many gifts can I order online?
Up to 60 items in one online order. For more, call 414-375-5804 or use the contact page.
Can you ship the gifts to the golf course?
Yes, by USPS to any US address. Type the course name with your name or on the Apt, suite line.
Can you put our event logo on the gifts?
Ask us, with plenty of lead time. We cannot promise custom labels, and we do not make private label coffee. A ribbon or hang tag with the event name, added by your committee, works on any jar or bag.
Is there a discount for buying a gift for every player?
Everyone pays the same price. The savings are built in: the bags from 2 lb up cost less per pound than the smaller sizes, and in one order each extra Big Hoff Bag is $4 off and each extra Queen or King Hoff is $10 off (same size, grind and purchase option). The Little Hoff, The Hoff and the jars have no quantity discount, and there are no coupons or event prices.
Do you make decaf?
No. We make one coffee and no decaf or flavors. If a few players avoid caffeine, keep a decaf or another small gift on the side for them.
Is shipping free?
Yes, on orders of $50 or more, and gifts for a whole field are well over that. We ship by USPS within the United States only.
