Office Coffee Without a Contract: How Much Your Team Needs and What It Costs
By our estimate, plan on about 1.3 eight-ounce cups per person per workday, roughly 0.19 lb per person per week. A team of 10 uses about 2 lb a week, a team of 25 about 5 lb. On our 2 lb to 20 lb subscription sizes that is about 33 to 43 cents a cup, delivered weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly, with no account and no machine contract.
We are a family roaster in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and we ship one coffee by USPS to workplaces across the US. Every number below is an estimate, with the assumptions shown so you can adjust them for your own team.
How much coffee does an office drink?
Our estimate rests on three assumptions:
- Two out of three people drink coffee on a given day (66% of American adults, National Coffee Association, Spring 2026).
- Each coffee drinker has 2 eight-ounce cups per workday, 5 days a week.
- A pound makes about 35 eight-ounce cups at standard strength (the Specialty Coffee Association's Golden Cup ratio), and up to about 64 brewed lighter, diner style.
That is about 1.3 cups per person per day across the whole team, or 6.6 cups and about 0.19 lb per person per week. It matches our own rule of thumb: about one pound for every forty to fifty six-ounce cups, then add extra.

A month here is 4.33 weeks (52 weeks divided by 12). If the pot stays on all day or the mugs are big, round up.

Per-cup figures cover the coffee only, not filters or creamer. One-time Bulk is $12.50 a pound, about 36 cents a cup. Per person, the estimate comes to roughly $9 to $11 a month on a King Hoff or Bulk subscription (about 28.6 cups per person per month).
There is no separate office price. Savings come from bigger sizes (Bulk 20 lb is the lowest per pound), the subscription price, and an automatic discount on extra units of the same size and grind in one order: each extra Big Hoff Bag is $4 off, each extra Queen or King $10 off, none on Bulk. Two King Hoffs on one one-time order come to $200 for 14 lb.

If a delivery runs short, move the next date earlier. If it runs long, skip one or pause. If the team grows, change the size.
How recurring delivery works
Choose a weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly subscription instead of One-time order, and your card is billed for each delivery at the subscription price.
- Minimum: subscriptions have a two-delivery minimum (see our Terms).
- Changes: manage your deliveries online through a secure link we email you. Skip a delivery, pause, move a date earlier or change sizes.
- One schedule per order: subscriptions in the same order share one delivery schedule.
- Shipping: Queen, King and Bulk deliveries ship free. A single Big Hoff Bag subscription is $30, under the $50 free-shipping line, so it pays USPS shipping.

No account, no lease, no machine contract
We are not an office coffee service. We don't lease brewers, stock break rooms or send a route driver. Office coffee services often bundle a brewer with a supply agreement; we sell coffee, and you brew it in the machine you already have. Every size and price is on one page: order office coffee with no account.
- Pick the size, ground or whole bean, and one-time or a schedule.
- Check out as a guest with an email and a shipping address. No account and no password. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe.
- Add the business name. There is no company-name field, so type your business name with your name or on the Apt, suite line.
- Keep the confirmation email. It lists what you ordered and the total, which is handy for the books.

Ground or whole bean for the office brewer
For an office brewer, order ground: one medium-fine grind that works for every brew method, from a drip machine or an airpot brewer to pour-over, French press and espresso. Whole bean is there for offices that grind in house. More in whole bean vs. ground coffee.
Start with about two tablespoons per six ounces of water and adjust to taste. We sell bags and jars, not pods.

The coffee, and what customers say about it, at work and at home
We roast one coffee: 100% Arabica Colombian Supremo (the largest bean-size grade), roasted medium-dark in our German Norwegian style, in cast iron, on our family farm in Cedarburg, in a barn that has been in the family since 1944. How much coffee does an office of 10 need per week?
About 2 lb a week at standard strength, by our estimate: two-thirds of the team drinking 2 eight-ounce cups a day, 5 days a week, at about 35 cups per pound. Brewed diner strength, closer to 1 lb. A King Hoff (7 lb) each month comes close; move a date earlier if it runs short.
Do I need an account or a contract?

What does office coffee cost per cup?

Is there an office or volume discount?
Bulk is the discount. Everyone pays the same prices: Bulk 20 lb is the lowest per pound, subscriptions cost less, and extra Big Hoff Bags ($4 off), Queens or Kings ($10 off) of the same size and grind in one order are discounted automatically.
How fast does it ship?
Orders typically go out within a few business days by USPS, to US addresses only; those times are estimates, not guarantees. Shipping is free at $50 or more, so every Queen, King and Bulk order ships free.
Do you make decaf or flavored coffee?
No. We make one coffee, a medium-dark 100% Colombian Supremo Arabica, with no decaf and no flavors.
